Cohutta Wilderness, Joyce Kilmer
Wilderness Area, Rivercane Rendezvous, Chatooga Whitewater In April, Herb and I went hiking in the Cohutta wilderness for a quick overnight trip along the Conasauga River... He brought his dogs, Milkbone and Kia. I think the dog pack fit Herb better than the dogs! :-) In April, John, Jill (his wife), and I went hiking in Joyce Kilmer Wilderness area: On May 3rd, my mother and I went down the Chatooga river. What a blast! On May 8th, my brother graduated from UGA with a degree in business. Ted Turner gave the graduation speech and it was possibly the worst speech I've ever heard. It started off like your normal graduation speech, w/ advice, etc... It eventually got into the bad news in the world today (accidental bombing of the Chinese embassy) and how we might be getting into a world war with China. By this time, the crowd was mostly talking amongst themselves and Ted ended it with "But who cares about all that stuff, you are graduating." You could barely hear him say it between all the mumbles and groans of the audience. Very interesting speech. I like this bogus graduation speech one a whole lot better. Coming Next...
